The young lady said, your hair,
may I touch it? And I obliged, sort
of swan in an injured, curtsied bow.
She pawed and graded my exquisite locks
and confessed the purse my hair
could fetch in the black markets of the world.
I had been summoned to slay mawfuckers
with my pizazzy Powerpoint for Playas’
and now, like a genie, I could not be rebottled.
The thought of follicle bazaars in Tangiers
or the Sarajaven mob trafficking my now
very valuable head ricocheted in my synapses tanks.
I had been thinking of nothing lucrative at all, nothing
like pure poetry strawberries as large as the heads of Shih Tzus
or contraband submarines forged in the jungles of Colombia.
I had been thinking that I don’t listen to Otis Redding enough
that I take too many scalding showers and don’t leave my hair
the chance to fume the bouquet of my wholly singular odor.
And now I am finally thinking of the young lady, her fingers
comb the epicenter of my vanity, they graze my thick head
my dull, oaken dome from which spectacular beauty glows.

What is Poesia Para La Gente?
Poesia Para La Gente (Poetry for the People) is a program that brings poetry to the people of the community, in non-traditional places. Some of these places have been affected, in one way or another, by economical hardship or various forms of social stigmas. All locations are unique in providing a safe setting for uninhibited artistic expression.
Poesia Para La Gente is a program of the Avenue 50 Studio's monthly La Palabra Poetry. The program has been made possible by a grant from The James Irvine Foundation.

Really just astounding. I have no idea how his skills compare to other tumblers, but I am certainly impressed.
Impressions from a 25-day hiking and packrafting expedition through the wilderness of extreme Southern Greenland in july 2013. I started in Narsarsuaq, crossed over all the way to Tasermiut fjord, and continued with an 8-day loop east of Tasiusaq before finally paddling towards Nanortalik. More on this trip: http://transscandinavia.wordpress.com
I have a hard time conjuring in my mind an image other than a world map when it comes to Greenland.

Rogan Brown on his nearly unbelievably detail papercut art:
“My work is an exploration and re-presentation of natural organic forms both mineral and vegetal. I look for patterns and repeated motifs that run through natural phenomena at different scales, from the microscopic to the macroscopic, from individual cells to large scale geological formations.”

Filling in what's missing from iconic Black & White photos, namely, the color, has an amazing impact on our perception and connection with the subjects. Of course, it is a matter of invention and conjecture, but stunning none the less. A whole bunch of amazing ones over at a group on reddit, called r/ColorizedHistory.

CCTV has a documentary channel, and these four trailers for it translate human motion into digitally sculpted objects that look like steel, water, and wood. The clips were created by Taiwan design house JL Design and KORB.

Motion sculptures for CCTV Documentary Channel is a digital metaphor of phenomenal blinks and moments that life consists of. In four Idents we follow a visual performance of organic and vital substance, animated using data of actors movements. Idents visualize four different themes. To emphasize the emotion of each Ident, we have decided to use different textures of steel, wood and glass. Motion sculpture of steel reflects old Chinese adage that true power is mastering yourself. Youthful energy of dancers evolve into beautiful organic sculpture. Colorful happiness is the engine of father's and his daughter's joy. Two lovers visualize fragility and vitality of love in the last Ident.
