Wonderlights over Iceland

Aurora Borealis are a natural light phenomena that can be seen specially in the Earth Poles. The North Pole ones are called Aurora Borealis or Northern Lights, while the South Pole are Aurora Australis or Southern Lights. They appear because of a collision from the particles that form the sun wind against the magnetic fields of the Earth. The scene of this video is Iceland, a place with amazing landscapes at any time of the year, but it's in winter when this country attracts the most attention because of the Aurora Borealis or Northern Lights. Enrique Pacheco has made this video during many personal expeditions and workshops in Iceland from the last three years. Enrique Pacheco is an expert in Iceland landscape and Aurora Borealis shooting, with more than 12 successful trips. If you are interested in travel to Iceland and live this unique experience, Enrique Pacheco offers workshops, in which you'll learn the time-lapse technique, improve your photography skills and enjoy the amazing phenomena of the Aurora Borealis. http://www.enriquepacheco.com/workshop-aurora-borealis-in-iceland This video has been made with the time-lapse technique, using DSLR cameras to capture consecutive pictures and then put them together. Most of the shots have 10 and 20 seconds of exposition in between, were shot with wide lenses and with the maximum aperture. ISO 1600 and 3200 are the main ones. The equipment that Enrique Pacheco used was Sony a99 and Zeiss 16-35 f2.8 for most of the shots, sometimes also Sony RX1. Enrique Pacheco has had the participation of Péter Nánási (www.peternanasi.com) as music composer. Péter has created an amazing music piece, exclusive for this video.

Expedition Iceland

Please watch in Fullscreen & HD with sound for best quality. To avoid skipping, please let the video fully load. Expedition Iceland is a collection of some of my favorite shots I did around Iceland during my 17 day, 4000 mile adventure around the country during the midnight sun in June 2013. This personal piece was shot entirely using the Canon 5D Mark III and only a few different Canon lenses. I've always wanted to visit Iceland, and I had to take the opportunity when it came up. Sleeping in the passenger seat of a small SUV and living off mostly gas station food, it was all worth it. The country was absolutely stunning and I certainly hope to spend more time there again. Special thanks to Kessler Crane for providing me with the motion control equipment used in the making of this video. All motion was done using the Kessler Crane CineDrive. www.KesslerCrane.com www.KesslerCineDrive.com Music, Used With Permission For A Minor Reflection - Flóð Available for purchase on iTunes https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/holdum-i-att-a-orei-u/id381001745 www.ForaMinorReflection.com Website www.EricHinesPhotography.com Twitter Twitter.com/EricHinesPhotos Facebook Facebook.com/EricHinesPhotography Licensing Details - Available in 4K EHinesNWI@Gmail.com

5 - Journey Through Iceland

Like us on Facebook: www.facebook.com/evosiastudios Follow us on Twitter: www.twitter.com/evosia Website: www.evosiastudios.com A joint collaboration with rock / ambient / experimental band MONO (www.monoishere.com), Legend takes you on an epic 12 minute visual and aural journey through Iceland's breathtaking landscapes during the time of the midnight sun. The film travels across Iceland, from the floating blue icebergs of Jokulsarlon's glacial lagoon to the steaming geothermic vents of Myvatn, the colorful mountains of Landmannalaugar to the breathtaking sunsets on Snaefellnes Peninsula, and the barren volcanic landscapes of Askja to the vast fields of lupin near Husavik. Legend was shot over a 2 week period in June 2012 when the sun barely sets below the horizon and you never see darkness. It was filmed completely in 5K resolution using Canon full frame DSLRs on motion timelapse equipment from Kessler Crane. Mono's score of the same name, Legend, is from their upcoming album "For my parents". Its edgy cinematic and epic quality helps describe Iceland - a breathtakingly beautiful yet unforgivingly dangerous place. The album is available for pre-order: http://www.monoishere.com/2012/07/30/pre-order-for-my-parents-now/ We would like to thank the following supporters for making this film possible: Kessler Crane: www.KesslerCrane.com Glacier Rental Car: www.glaciercarrental.is Special thanks to Egill Agustsson and Adalsteinn Petur Karlsson of Husavik for their help with my car problems on Iceland National Day. It's the country's biggest holiday and they helped me get back on the road so I could continue filming. Last but not least, a big thank you to fellow filmmaker Joe Capra (www.scientifantastic.com) for his guidance and inspiration. His tips and advice were invaluable in helping me prepare for this trip. A 4K version will be released soon, along with a behind the scenes video! Please follow or subscribe to us to receive the latest updates.

Iceland has long be on my list. And this timelapse piece by Henry Jun Lee Wah just moved it up a few  slots.
