5 things I learned August 27, 2011

1. GIFs are the new old artform perfect for hilarity on a micro/brief scale, and GIF.tv is an astounding homage to it. Here for example is a woman break cinderblocks with her forehead. Amazing.

2. A robotic painter, makes some good stuff, raises some questions about art, refuses to address other questions.

3. Russia has approved the idea of a plan that could eventually mean that you can take a train from NYC to London via Alaska, Siberia and Moscow.

4. Brand logo mashup that does some weird things to my head.

5. A cut-up portrait is like any other portrait, but you can't recognize the person. So maybe it isn't like any other portrait.
