Great lightning strike over manhattan filmed from 2nd Avenue in the East Village.
Not for network broadcast but feel free to share and embed*- Severe storms erupted early in the afternoon in western PA/NY and quickly made their way east towards the NYC Metro. Wind damage reports were common in upstate NY and in Pennsylvania but the storms weakened a bit by the time they got to me here in the city.
