Living in times that hope seems to have lost it's meaning and mankind walks in paths of uncertainty and hate, Simon finds hope in the skyfall. His calligraphy leads him through inner peace and serenity to the path of wisdom, from the free skies to a free fall in the urban surroundings we have to endure. In a pure and magical way he manages to entrap us to his world of letters with one purpose, to convey his message of change and hope crashing the black era that has emerged. A better world is possible. "This is the end, hold your breath and count to ten, feel the earth move and then, hear my heart burst again" MORE INFO www.facebook.com/urbancalligraphy www.flickr.com/photos/simon_silaidis www.urbancalligraphy.com Artist Bio: Simon Silaidis is a designer, a thinker, a vision-er, a pioneer... Hua Tunan (画图男) is a rising artist in China. With a name that roughly translates to "Painter Man", and by combining traditional Chinese art elements with a brash pop of color and culture, Hua is grabbing attention in a lot of circles, including Volvo (see below):
This June 2012 Volvo Switzerland turned Zurich Main Station into an open street art studio for the second time. Seven Chinese artists were painting, spraying and restyling the new Volvo V60 Plug-in Hybrid. At this extraordinary art event they expressed their interpretation of tomorrow's sustainable mobility, while also giving an exciting insight into China's contemporary art scene.
